Fire, Passion, Partners and a Purpose!

What would you do if you got a call at oh dark thirty, 5:30 a.m. to come to your business as the building is on fire.
The first thoughts, is anyone in the building?

Will my customer’s belongings be damaged?

How are we going to do business?

What could it possibly feel like, watching your passion that you built over the last 13 years, burn up?

Something none us ever want to experience, but it does happen.

My good friend, Dave Young of over 20 years called me on Saturday to enlighten me on how he was awakened by a phone call that would rock his world. He and 2 partner’s life's passion going up in smoke watching the rumble of black/gray smoke head up to the sky.

Wow now what? First the insurance company assures them you'll be back in business by Tuesday, hum well what about the smell, the tools, the doors, the damage? How is all of this going to get done by then?  What about the two other businesses that housed the front of the building? At first this appears to be a huge mess and a financial loss that will not be replaceable. Some frustration, sadness sets in, but knowing they got to where they are by dedication, no one is giving up.

Sometimes if we don't move forward as we need to the universe will give us a nudge, a push, or a direct event that we have but no choice to make changes. So this week the three partners have spent a lot of time together, a lot of lunches something that otherwise would not have been possible. How cool is that? Evaluating, the current businesses and is this really what they want? Is this in alignment with the direction and service we provide?  Coming to the realization that they do need to make some changes and this really is going to work out to for their highest good.

Tally ho says the universe, what time but now to create something new and exciting. How about a whole new customer experience and a new look! Resilience is shining through and they are on their way to a whole set of new experiences.........

We will follow up with these three in the upcoming weeks to see how they are progressing and of course we have to know how the story ends.
